Lemon muffin
How change of environment can change our lives?
Living in one environment often means stability to our lives but changing if every 5 to 10y or at east twice in a lifetime has been proved to be beneficial for our health and quality of lives. We change our food preferences, being surrounded with other choices and so our metabolism changes. With that, immunity response is challenged being triggered with different types of viruses and bacterias.
It takes a lot of time for our system to adapt completely. This is why many doctors recommend taking vaccines when traveling to tropical climates and avoiding food choices which could be compromising, containing more microbacterial cultures, not common for our usual environment.
After moving to another climate, first we notice different landscapes and smell follows short after. Different fragrances of plants around us, fruits and vegetables often familiar to us but here, with a slightly different taste and then food, made from familiar ingredients but differently combined. When we moved to warmer climate, we became more active. Our bodies changed and so as our appetite. Suddenly, no interest for soups and more interest for salats is developed. But among all, carrot cake and lemon muffins and everything that was citrus rich became my favorite. Additional level of C vitamin was supportive for immunity and so was D vitamin which we get after walking on a sunny day, after just 15min.
No place on earth has this taste of carrot cake, and lemon muffin and maybe avocado toast. There is no such place to hold at the same time crisp fresh air and sunshine whole day as it is here these winter days. Suddenly you have a feeling of Christmas coming and then get confused but warmth and sparks reflecting form the ocean’s surface, welcomig you to its waters as it is the middle of the summer.
Is this really land of our first existance, a peace of heaven or is it simply my mind confused and trilled by this change, by this world I belong now and hopefully, forever..
