Meet Ilma Stone, bryologist who described and collected 20 000 mosses in Australia

Dedication to working in only one direction in Life sciences is a true gold and to be successful in it- is amazing. Ilma was a bryologist who dedicated almost 60 years of her life to learning more about mosses in Austria, to collect the huge variety and describe 25 nee species. A couple of these small plant species are even named after her.

This article is made to raise admiration for a life passion and impact it has for human growth in knowledge. How to do the same and be well focused in one direction when there are so many triggering objects in nature and we just can’t decide which one is our greatest passion? Time can show but until then, it doesn’t hurt to collect, learn, educate self and others when needed. Science takes dedication and time and this lady certainly made my day with her life goals and works:) Happy 8th March:)
