Season twist
Moving to another continent, twisted senses and there comes a smell, once again, reminding us of different moments we had in the past, reviving memories..and there comes a new feeling, a sweet and citrous taste of spring..
Here, in my late thirties, this is a third continent to live in and I am still thinking- everything is new; new emotions, new life, almost new personality always crispy fresh to wake up to this life of ours, that we created. This proves home is where we make it, not where we live most of our lives.
Spring came to Australia but still, my body is reminding me of Autumn, cinnamon and apple pie, colorful leaves, and rainy days, a huge inspiration that comes after a long summer. And yet there I see strawberries, their fresh taste and smell the same as in Europe, then mornings 5 am waking up with the sounds of butcherbirds is like nowhere else! This new emotion can not be mistaken with others; it is new, created about 12y ago when I visited Australia for the first time, not knowing that a place of First Nations would be a place for my kid to grow up..with huge respect I try to listen, observe this beauty. and learn their ways.
Next on a scene is mango, then I see people wearing hats everywhere and some old school dressing everywhere around me along with new, like there is no timeline and we all exist now, together welcoming new seasons although our body is sometimes not willing to let go of the previous.
Finally, mango season is in front of us..sometimes all we need is a fresh mango and a good swim to be happy and then help others..if that is not enough for them..
