The content of the vaccine is mostly viral genetic code. Receiving it means new instruction for our immunity to respond in a proper way. Genetic code means exact instruction. Clinical trials were there to follow people’s reaction to this instruction and as it proves, success was more than 95%. This will be finally established after millions of people receive the vaccine. It is nonspecific for races, age, and any other division, as said by the “Moderna”. In comparison with all the other vaccines for major pandemics we had in the past, while they contained inactivated virus, or live attenuated, this is the only vaccine to contain genetic code specifically and gives our system direct message/instruction.

There are two types of vaccinations-respiratory mucosal vaccination and parenteral vaccination. While RMV induces strong lung TRM cell responses, PV fails to do so. “Experimentally, the airway TRM cells elicited by respiratory mucosal vaccination offered robust protection against SARS-CoV infection” (Zhao, J. et al.2016.).

“Antibody responses to human coronaviruses wane rapidly within months after infection. Therefore, control of reinfection with human coronaviruses seems mainly to be antibody independent but T cell dependent” (Sariol, A. &, S.2020).

Why some patients have high impacted lungs under Covid19 infection while others lose neural mass/ motor skills?  It is known that “TH2 cell responses have been associated with enhancement of lung disease following infection in hosts when they are parentally vaccinated with inactivated SARS-CoV viral vaccines”(Bolles, M at all,;2011), (Tseng, C. - et all.; 2012). Taking into account all the vaccine requirements, both antibody-mediated and T cell-mediated immunity for effective protection against SARS-CoV-2 are necessary.

The majority of people recover from Covid19 but very often it takes a lot of time, to regain all motor skills and full capacity of organs previously affected by severe infections. This is the major reason why this virus is of such great treat and why lockdown and isolation are a necessity. To be able to recover and return to all the normal activities we had before the pandemic, we have to be aware of its immunity-do we gain it, can cells remember sickness and fight it again if needed? What kind of vaccines are the best depends on various factors.

“Among people who had recovered from COVID-19, 100% had S protein-specific CD4+ T cells in the circulation and 70% had S protein-specific CD8+ T cells in the circulation (Grifoni,A. et al. 2020) and preclinical studies show a protective role of T cells in host defense against SARS-Co (Zhao,J. Zhao, J&Perlman; 2010).

In the addition to the previous research of cell memory, when recovered from any other type of coronavirus in the comparison between severe and milder cases of COVID-19, second have greater numbers of memory CD8+ T cells in the respiratory tract. Vaccines should be oriented toward this fact and every person must be treated separately. Just to receive the vaccine doesn’t mean to be protected. The number of T cells must be preorder by immunity and therefore major companies developed boosters to go with the vaccine and be given several weeks after the initial dose.

After all, the great news is here-there are several solutions found by the major pharmaceutical companies. Joined with proper care and perspective of personalised medicine, we will be able to return to our “normal” life. Looking forward!:)
