Kids diet
When we search for information about children’s nutrition-first data were connected with preferences for protein choices and there among top three are types of meat-sea food, lean meat, and further other animal products with plant proteins at the bottom of the list. Practice shows that many children avoid and even reject meat so parents choose to mix it and blend with vegetables for many months until children are used to this taste and ask for it later in life.
On my path of raising a vegetarian child, we as parents were asked many times what is present in our diet and do we feed our child with this or that, etc. One look at her is enough to see a healthy active child, with great progress and one can not but stand and look at her great posture, stamina, ability to act. The Diet of a child whose parents choose not to feed her with the dead body of the animal is consists of three or more meals with plenty of proteins and vegetables and fruits, plus two-three “unhealthy” choices like chocolate, any sweets, chips, etc. She is the one who takes an apple from the table and eats it, she asks for cucumbers, blueberries, or mandarines.
this experience is short, only a couple of years old but it proves that children can have a great diet if given the choice and above that if given example. When they are given the freedom to have unhealthy food choices, kids will not enjoy them that much and will not ask for them all the time. On the other side, kids have unspoiled bud tastes. Following different tastes, they can ask exactly what is at that moment in demand-types of vitamins, food with more energetic value, etc. If we help them to keep this great natural guidance, kids can grow into healthy and strong adults.
Finally, what is food preference for a healthy kid's diet? Oatmeal with berries, vegetable soup, toast with cheese, yogurt, and in between meals-one fruit, sliced cucumber, mandarine, etc. Kids can have a piece of chocolate, a small cup of chips of a candy-one choice per day. For vegetarian kids, as well as omnivorous, some vitamin supplements can be beneficial- like omega3acids.
Kids follow our samples. They will reach for an apple if they see us eating one. They will avoid some food no matter how much we love it because their bodies don’t need it and shouldn't be pushed to consume. Every one of us is unique. Help them to grow healthy and give them a choice that is all that is needed.
