Smaller vaccine doses-yet effective?!

Given by mistake, smaller doses of the Covid-19 vaccine proved to be effective for more than couple thousand receivers. The question was raised, why these vaccines are still made in bigger amount if good results were seen after receiving smaller doses?

Several reasons can be taken into account.

First of all, patients could already have a certain amount of immunity response, maybe they had a mild infection before vaccination and now their bodies count certain immunity responses. With the addition of vaccines, immunity response reached its full potential. This points out the question of why all people are not tested before receiving a vaccine? In this case, many of them will most probably need smaller doses and therefore many more will be immunized.

As we already know, some people had an infection and it was very mild-so mild that they were not tested. Many countries didn’t even accept testing applications from people, because their resources for the test were very low and therefore kept for those who show stronger symptoms. Knowing that members of a family unit had Covid19 was a strong implication for testing-yet many countries will avoid this issue and just let those who were not showing any symptoms pass without checking. Precisely those people could now receive smaller doses and have full immunity in case of catching a virus.

Another group is those who were close with their friends and family when affected and were tested negative. These people have certain natural immunity. Receiving a small dose of vaccine could fully protect them from new strains of the virus.

Production of any vaccine goes on a certain peace and it is almost impossible to change a route, a dose, or anything when it was already proved to be effective for the majority. Once again personalized medicine must come to an act soon since nowadays the human population is reaching a high genetic potential and need a personalized approach to any issue.
