The significance of omega3 fatty acids is beneficial for the health of every individual, especially babies, and the elderly population.

People believe that omega3 fatty acids can be taken only through the fish but it was discovered that they were initially produced by algae. This knowledge is not very widespread and from disbelieve, many still consume fish for its omega 3fatty acid content. 

Humans can not synthesize this type of nutrient and must include them in their diet. Consuming fish or fishy oil brings additional unfavorable taste and often this is not what kids and many grownups can take easy.

Being a direct influencing factor for nervous system development and maintenance, we can recognize its benefits from a very early age and further.

To make a high-quality product without a specific smell and above all, to protect sea wildlife which is already severely endangered, there is a way to extract this essential nutrient directly from algae. This simple fast-growing organism can be relatively easily grown in coastal areas with plenty of sun and availability of original seawater. 

The process of extraction includes breaking cellular walls and mechanical extraction of oils from the algae. This includes the addition of enzymes and some neutralizers to make ascent-free oil. The finished product is expensive because of the novelty in its production but its quality is above products gained in a traditional way. 

To invest in this capacity means to invest in the future when. We can choose to consume better products and above all, protect our natural heritage within the sea ecosystem. 

For everyone aware of the world natural capacity decrease and ecological catastrophes lying behind the destruction of the sea world, having these products will mean a huge step towards the solution and better world. For them and everyone else, having better quality products will significantly influence health in many ways.

An estimated 260tones per year is global demand for omega-3-fatty acids. With recent outbreaks of the pandemic and the urge for health improvements, the human population makes changes in food preferences every day. The population of vegans/vegetarians is ascending as well as demand for this essential nutrient with the non-animal origin. n Gijón, Northern Spain, there is a European-funded research project, operating for the last two years with the main goal to extract algae oil from four types of microalgae and use it for the production of high-quality omega3fatty acids which will later be used in food and cosmetics industry. Global demand for this essential nutrient is estimated to be 260 tonnes per year and increasing.
