What is aging?
Can we guess person’s age just by their look or this story is way more complicated?
Epigenetic changes include adding or removing methyl groups from DNA to increase/decrease process of aging.
It seems that we can impact these changes with our ways of life even when DNA-aging is predetermined.
It is not simple to set rules when aging is personal path but according to scientists, we can know exact age of any individual just by observing their DNA damages and presence of methyl group. Recent studies are gained from material samples of blood cells.
Why people look so much different when they are the same age? This fact should be promising when it comes to food preferences and life choices we take in order to prolong our lives and add quality to them.
“It doesn’t argue that molecular damage plays no role in ageing, rather that ageing is largely caused by other things,” says Gems at University College London.
It seems that unlike common opinion that maturity must bring aging-actual true is in the way of living. Active brain will restore our mind and active life will preserve our body in their best condition for a long time. Still life has its span and we can not expect that scientists will ever reach youth elixir- it will not be ethical after all. Studies will show us how to live happier lives full of quality no matter about its spans.
